I won't stay here again, sorry. The rooms were a bit rough around the edges with stains on the carpets, ripped curtain linings, marks on the walls, and a very small television. Despite these issues, the room I stayed in was small but clean, which was a plus, especially considering I was in Edinburgh for a medical procedure at the Royal Infirmary.

The location was great, as it's close to the hospital, very convenient for my visit. It's also a quick bus ride into town, and there's a lovely footpath across the street with what seemed to be ancient remains, perfect for weekend day strolls.

The dining experience wasn't anything to write home about. The breakfast, despite being between 8 am and 9 am, consisted of cheap quality sausage with bacon, egg, and beans. The continental breakfast, which was supposed to be included, was basically croissants and tinned fruit salad.

I stayed in a cottage at the front of the property, and it was clean, nicely equipped, and had a pillowcase-like window blind. The staff was attentive and helpful, especially with dining recommendations for our group of 4 adults and a baby. The location was average but convenient, close to the hospital and bus stops. The breakfast options were decent, although not served in the guest house, and there was an extra charge for a hot meal. The property also had an enclosed garden for pets, which was a nice touch.

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were not done for 3 days and were uncomfortably hot, but the second night was peaceful. However, I was disturbed at 3 am by guests in nearby rooms making a lot of noise. The hotel looked tired and in need of a refresh.
